We've seen a lot of live music in the past two weeks, ranging from silly to fun to the kind of stuff the band on Jay Leno plays. Here are their myspaces:
A fun band with a charismatic, Karen O-esque lead singer.
A bunch of fey boys in tight white collared shirts and skinny pants that was perhaps too Bowie-inspired...although their keyboardist was incredibly multi-talented, and played the french horn, guitar, drums, etc. He also sang.
In the words of Lauren, this 12 piece brass band that played on a tiny stage in a club on Oberkampf would have been indie and interesting had it not been for the two saxophones, which tipped them over into Jay Leno music territory. Quel dommage.
